About Dr. Maulik

Dr. Maulik graduated Binghamton University in New York State where he majored in Biology and Geography.  He went to University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, one of the top dental schools in the country, where he received his doctor of dental medicine.  He was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society that accepts only those that are in the top 5% of the class and have demonstrated exemplary traits of character.

After Dental School he completed his three year orthodontic residency at the University of Connecticut.  Next Dr. Maulik worked in a private orthodontic practice in Connecticut.  After private practice experience in Connecticut Dr. Maulik moved to San Diego where he worked in 2 group practices for the past few years. 

Dr. Maulik was recently published in the American Journal of Orthodontics on his work in smile esthetics and serves as a reviewing editor in esthetics for the journal as well.   While not working he enjoys surfing, playing the bass guitar and spending time with his friends and family.
